She’s accomplished so much… So why is she still waiting for permission to be seen?

Hi Reader

A conversation I had over the weekend sparked the need to talk about something that’s just been on my mind a lot lately. Too many brilliant women I know are still waiting for permission. Still doubting themselves, even after everything they’ve accomplished.

And it breaks my heart a little every time.

These are women who have led teams, launched initiatives, moved the needle in boardrooms. But when it comes to owning their voice publicly… they freeze. They second-guess. They play small.

They tell themselves:
“Who am I to share this?”
“What if it’s not good enough?”
“Why would anyone care about what I’m doing?”
You don’t need to become more.

I know, because I’ve found myself there…more than once. Thinking, if I only had one more certification, worked with one more coach, then I’d feel more qualified. As if all the experience, client successes, and time I put in for years meant nothing 🙄

I realized: You need to remember who you already are.

One of my favorite clients came to me unsure of how to show up. She had big ideas, a powerful perspective, but she didn’t feel confident sharing them.

After we worked together, she did a 180. It didn’t just change her brand. It changed how she saw herself 🫶🏾

This is the transformation I want for every woman I work with.
Not because it looks good online. But because it feels like freedom.

And if after reading this you still need a permission slip, consider this it. Permission granted. Take up all the space you need ☕️
